What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Working on a Russian BMP for a friend and a Dyna Comp for myself. Thought I’d make the BMP graphics somewhat Soviet Space Propaganda style so I’m starting with something like this. It’ll have a ring LED and the grey will be the polished aluminum enclosure. Quick mock-up in Affinity Design.

The above clip previously posted by Andare had quite harsh treble to my ears, using earbuds with my computer. So I switched to some over-ear enclosed cans, which helped a little, but it still seemed excessively sharp.

It's making me re-assess how I'll go about building my Companion, like tacking on a SWTC or some other form of high-treble/presence attenuation.



Wondering what other people think of this yootoob clip?

Agree, the only fy2 based pedal I've ever had on my board was the depot. Sometimes I get my companion out and play some radiohead licks but that's about it.

I like it. Mine is not harsh at all but that's all subjective and it might change when I add a boost to it.

What I know is my bedroom tone is always too dark on stage. Harshness is great for cutting through.
 
Just looked up the schematic for the EQD Terminal. If it's accurate it's a companion with an LPB-1 at the end and a couple of mods lifted from the usual forums.

Is there any pedal out there that is not a rehash of a classic fuzz plus input from diyers from 15 years ago :)

Try out my THUNDER FUSS. It’s an incredibly versatile Bazz Fuss I “designed”. Erm, I should say I put a bunch of circuit Legos together and tweaked em to taste

Wrapped this XC Phaser up this evening, but I have to wait until tomorrow to see how it sounds.

The knob on this is from Radio Shack around 1995 and I used it on the very first pedal I ever made. It was crap, but this knob has been in the bottom of a box ever since. Seems like the perfect use for it finally.
