My last three pedals failed!

Everytime i make a mistake, Electric Funeral from Black Sabbath starts playing in my head....I couldn't tell you why but im imagining my brain is relating the bad guy tone of that song with me messing up...

Dont feel bad dude start getting comfortable in the troubleshooting space. Take it as a learning experience and push forward! Never hurts putting your builds up in the troubleshooting section either ;)

FWIW I get Chopin's Funeral March. Then I get to the DMM, audio probe, what have you, and the fun begins.

i just thought about it a bit and i think at least 2 or 3 of the builds have no bypass and just loud hum when turned on. what is this a sign of?
Maybe check your footswitch wiring. You should have bypass if they are correctly wired. Do a search on this forum for the correct wiring and orientation. I agree with @szukalski about feeling your pain but three builds not working points to a consistent error which may be easily fixed once you know where the problem lies.

FWIW when I started I used miswired switching jacks and couldn't figure out why there was neither bypass nor signal from the builds. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out but it was a lesson well learnt.

The rewards of something working that you have built yourself are worth the trouble. There's plenty of expertise and good will here as you see. Stick at it. "Keep on pushin', straight ahead."

Here’s hoping it’s an easy fix! The list of things that could cause no bypass + noisy engaged signal is very short (footswitch and jacks).

One thing that hasn’t been mentioned, I think, is to make sure your jacks are wired properly and grounded. I made that mistake a few days ago because I forgot to run a ground to the Input sleeve. D’oh!
