Any new concerts you're looking forward to (formerly 2023 concerts)

I’m seeing Snarky Puppy tonight which I’m very very excited about. Not for everyone but if you’re into jazz/fusion (I guess?) they are worth checking out.
One of my band mates saw them last week. Said it was amazing but he wasn't that in to the new tunes. Evidently it was kind of "more of the same."

KISS is gonna be in Chicago on November 27th. That’s the day before my birthday. I’m working two jobs right now so I can get caught up on bills and buy tickets to this concert. I saw them on their first farewell tour in 94? I think it was? I was in 6th grade and I saved up for months to get tickets and none of my friends would go with me because they thought KISS was lame… so my mom went with me (she also took me, my brother and my friends to see Korn 2 years later) anyways. It was a fucking rad concert even though my friends bailed on me. Maybe if I buy that sparkle blue chibson Ace Frehley guitar I can get them to sign it hahaha 🤣 🤣

Are The Armed playing as well on your stop?
If so. Don't sleep on them.

Jehnny Beth was the first act, then Viagra Boys, then Queens.

I was really impressed with Jehnny Beth. She owned the stage from the minute she stepped out. I'd never heard of her before. The music is kind of a hard dance almost industrial style electronic music.

Viagra Boys is my favorite band and they did not disappoint. We had good seats directly the middle of the seated area, but I wish I could have been in the pit for them. They've got such a great groove and energy.

Queens rocked. Josh said he was sick and (paraphrasing here) he was using the healing power of rock n roll to get through the gig. It sounded like he had a bit of a cold when he was talking, but it didn't effect his vocals or energy. I was hoping they'd play a few more tracks off the new album, but the set list was great.

Seeing Gum next week. Pretty hyped as this is his first set of real life shows with a band in the US. Been a fan since the beginning, and his 6th album just came out, so there’s a huge scope of material for me to hear live for the first time! I’m debating bringing the sleeves from some of my first pressings of the early albums to get signed, but I’m a bit nervous since it’s a sold out GA show, and stuff like that tends to get damaged in crowded pits.

Caught Dogstar tonight in Port Chester. Last minute thing because tix were cheap and I don’t have any classes on Tuesdays. Band was great, and I’ll be damned… Keanu Reeves has an absolutely stellar live bass tone; fattest and punchiest P bass tone I’ve heard to date!

I was checking out the new Dogstar album yesterday. Not bad. I've never listened to the previous albums so I can't compare. Rumor is that Fender is going to release a Keanu Reeves signature P bass.
