Anybody on the fence about JLC’s cheap shipping?

Don’t be. I ordered on the 13th and my order should arrive by the 22nd. Granted I am on the west coast of Canada and everything lands in Vancouver. I ordered things that took 3 days for production.

Don’t be afraid. If you don’t need anything in a hurry, this is the way. No duty bs, brokerage fees or other malarkey.

Just a PSA, that’s all.

Last time I put in some layouts it estimated 3 weeks to the middle of the US. That was a year ago or so, so I just used OshPark. In the end when I figured in shipping it was about a wash and I had my boards within a week.

Mine were 3 days for production (no SMD assembly) and ??? for shipping times so I was pleasantly surprised. OSHpark is pretty costly when you’re north of the border so maybe this is mostly a Canadian PSA

I put in an order with the slowest shipping and one with the next one up. The slowest showed up first.

Slowest shipping to German is Europacket for low low money. Sometimes it's here in a week + the two to three days for production but once I waited fo almost three weeks. The shipment tracking was a log of suprise countries that I never thought my pcb would visit

This is about how long mine take to St. Louis, MO (middle of the USA for non americans) as well. Now I just wish LCSC had such a cheap shipping option

My first JLC order took over 3 weeks. Most of the travel time is USPS fault across the US though

Yeah I think I have the west coast advantage.

I’ve ordered using the cheapest shipping twice. Once took about 3 weeks and the time after maybe 10 or so days.

That’s interesting. When I order it comes in in the east coast. Do you see yours come in on the west coast, just out of curiosity.

I usually use the cheap one and it’s an average of 15-20 days usually. I did rush a couple of my last ones by paying the ~$20 UPS shipping and got them 5 days after I submitted the file.

Maybe I'll try it this next time. I'm a bit more inland than the coast, but whatever. I ordered some vintage CPUs from a HK seller a while back and it took maybe two weeks? I'm curious to see.

Alright, so I got my last JLC order shipped Direct Line to UT, USA

"Packaged,waiting for pick up by the carrier" on Aug 3
"Arrived at origin facility…" on Aug 5
[dunno which of those is the actual "shipped" date]
Got it in my mailbox today, Aug 16

Sounds about right. For 2 dollars (if it’s under a certain weight, seems to be about 300 grams) it’s amazing
