Is the Porchfest still happening?I moved from Barrington to Chicago this summer. I’m commuting back out to the burbs on Saturdays to work repairs for my pal’s music store and getting used to the train (grumble, grumble)

Love that look. I’m thinking about putting some on my Studio as they seem a little loose-ish.View attachment 79972View attachment 79973View attachment 79974
Installed Hipshot open-gear locking tuners on my Les Paul. I have these on a strat and they install SO FAST. So great not having to do any additional drilling. I was already dreading LP string changes, but these were already so much faster.

The "four board" layouts are actually just two,Oooooh! I saw those "four board" layouts before, but didn't really know what I was looking at here. But there's them perf islands! <3
They've been great so far! Just double check your tuner hole diameter if you're looking to avoid drilling. These are 10mm.Love that look. I’m thinking about putting some on my Studio as they seem a little loose-ish.
My father in law sort of gave it to meI think I have that same chopsaw. Genius.
I have a commercial version of one of those bucket- cyclone separators. Definitely a game changer for shop vac dust collection. Without one the filters just clog way too fast. DIY one is badass.I made this dust collector yesterday and it's working great

Yep, it’s pretty exhilarating until the smell hits you. I remember my first…and second. Two new experiences for me today.
First, my friend and I started looking into processing this monster chunk of Brazilian rosewood we went in on together. Just sent it through the planer a few times to see how much we're actually working with. It's currently about 12" x 2" and well over 9ft long Exciting times, I can still smell it on my clothes.

Later I finished up this Diplomat. Sounded great for a minute until it suddenly became obvious that I reversed a capacitor. Pop goes the 10uf weasel. My first magic smoke and it smells pretty bad. Opened it up to confirm and yeah... this cap is muerte which is, as the kids say, cap AF.
