SOLVED Spirit Box Dwell Setting

I built the Spirit Box and it sounds really good, but I'm not really hearing much difference in the effect when I manipulate the Dwell control knob. From what I understand, it's supposed to adjust the length of the decay but I am having a hard time noticing any difference. It sounds to me like it is oscillating even with the dwell turned all the way down. Any suggestions on what could be a starting point for troubleshooting that? Has anyone else noticed little to no change from the Dwell setting?

I came across this build report that mentions the dwell having no effect.

Built the Spirit Box yesterday. Wonderful reverb / echo that reminds me of Mazzy Star.

At first test "Dwell" had no effect, apparently this is common (and happens with other PCBs as well). Fix is to swap the 22k resistor at R8 out for something smaller. I had to get back in behind the Belton Brick to get R8 out, which sucked! I have "socketed" a 10k resistor in there for now, which works quite well.
