Reminds me of a guy that went the gym I did at the time. He was probably 6'6" and close to 300lbs. Strong MF too. He would scream out gangsta rap lyrics and dance around as he worked out. Never talked to anyone. He eventually got thrown out of that gym for constantly leaving his weights out. We're talking 300+ pounds still on the squat rack. Absolutely obnoxious, even with headphones on!
We collectively called him the 'Dancing Bear'. I don't miss him.
Couldn't help myself, sing this to the tune of ABBA's Dancing Queen.
Friday night and the gym's aglow
Looking out for a place to go
Where the beats are loud and the weights are stacked
You come to lift and attack
Anybody could be that guy
But there's one who stands out high
With a booming voice and a swaggered flair
He's the king of the air
And when he shouts
The whole gym knows
He’s got the moves, the rhythm flows
He’s the talk of the scene
Watch that man, he's a lifting machine
You are the Dancing Bear
Six-foot-six, with a gangster glare
Dancing Bear
Feel the beat as you lift and swear, oh yeah
You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that man, watch him swear
Digging the Dancing Bear
Racking weights, leaving them behind
Others search, but they cannot find
Where the plates have gone, it's a mystery
But he's lost in his spree
And when he lifts
The crowd steps back
He’s got the strength, the power pack
He’s the star of the gym
Watch that man, he's a lifting king
You are the Dancing Bear
Six-foot-six, with a gangster glare
Dancing Bear
Feel the beat as you lift and swear, oh yeah
You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that man, watch him swear
Digging the Dancing Bear
