What’s really good?

I'm going to see the Hoodoo Gurus play their first album Stoneage Romeos tonight. One of the best ever Australian records IMHO. Great songs, killer guitar sounds and an all-round infectious vibe. It's 40 years old this year so they're touring to celebrate it. To think I saw them playing it when it first came out...

BOOO. THIS IS A DETHKLOK THREAD NOW.

Won two tickets to Deftones and Mars Volta the other day on the radio.
I had just been in the gas station and there was some 18-20yo girl counting out change for gas so I gave the clerk $10 to put on her pump. Won the tickets 3 minutes later. I -never- call in for those things either.
It pays to be kind.

My dad is big on classic rock. My music preferences are broad, but I have a lot of really good memories listening to that kind of stuff on my dad's huge RCA combo record/ 8 Track player that had these big speakers on either side of the center control section. Whole thing was like 7-8ft wide, made of solid wood, heavy as hell, but sounded amazing to me. Always wondered what happened to that thing.

Uncle calls me out of the blue this AM and tells me that he is moving and that he has had it for 25+ years, ever since my pop gave it to him to hold on to for a bit while my parents were in the middle of moving to Texas! LOL Long story short: My dad doesn't want it back, and tomorrow Im headed out of town to pick up that bad boy tomorrow! Got the truck already packed and am heading out early tomorrow AM.

Totally random, totally awesome

Makes up for it. A little.
Hilarious, I did a bunch of Kincaid tragedies when I was messing with ai images. Stuff like an idyllic country cottage scene but the cottage is engulfed in flames.

Those are pretty great. We had talked about getting Christmas shirts made. I wasn't able to come up with any good ideas so we didn't end up ordering them. Unfortunately now that I have been inspired it's too late.

Well, I really needed a win. It's been kinda rough around here lately. I've got my usual gig in Vegas next month at the concrete convention. My friend called today and asked if I wanted to go to NAMM for a couple days after the gig as he and his business partner needed to go for some line arrays. I've never been but being a musician I had to say yes! I'm really excited to check it out! WOOOHOOOO!
