Pets of PedalPCB

My brother got my sister and I sibling-kittens when we were kids (sis&I shared the same birthday), a Tomcat for me and female-feline for my sister.
Well it wasn't long after that the female's belly started to grow and grow quickly. We were expecting kittens.

SO a trip to the vet was in order for both cats and while the little Tom got snipped, the vet said regarding sister's tabby...
"She's just fat".

And thus she remained for the rest of her life, while her brother remained slim. The cats I mean, not me and my sister.

After 15,5 years, Our "Methuselah" has fallen. Three days ago, Tobias, with about 2,5 bonus years over his breed's typical age, hind legs finally gave out. Two hours later the fatal injection was given. He died confused by his body's failing, without pain.

No regrets, as when he showed the first signs of deterioration about three years ago, we made sure he lived to the fullest! <3

He just went on and one, slow but strong until the end, with a hard that took long to give out under pressure of the injection.

The pain, which I expected to be bad, has been so so so much worse than anything I could have imagined. Like sinkhole opened up somehere inside me.

Bellow, the final touch before he went in his blanket in his backyard (his domain, that he protected with a passion) grave as seen in the background.

Well. Heart still hurts from losing my baby, Psycho Kitty.

But, the wife and I decided...we've got a hole in our home. We're missing that feminine feline energy. There's no replacing psycho Kitty...but the house felt empty with just two.

So we went to the local humane society, and adopted this little sweetie:

We're calling her Maulotov.

Almost made it to 19, man what a trip. Hard to believe time goes by that fast. "Sweet" Tea was NOT known for being sweet, even though I did my best to make her life the best, never gave up on her. Her end was pretty rough, she was on her way out in this photo.

Would love to get 2 dogs again, but my current job won't let that happen. Working on some dates with some service industry girls hoping that some day one of them can take care of the future dogs during the day.
