This was a straightforward build and I’m pretty sure my first project wishlist request! Still can’t believe @Robert got this one in the shop! Tested it…now I’m going to walk the dog, get a coffee, and spend the rest of the day playing a P bass with old flats and a foam mute. Have a good one everybody

All the warmth you could want! Can get overdrive style grit, but nothing too crazy.

On my wish list since your original request and will get to it when my considerable backlog of boards that need housing and finalising is resolved.

By ear…Looking at the board, the left was slightly CCW before noon, the right was slightly CW past noon

Q1 - 5.875V
Q2 - 6.345V

I gave the blue build to my uncle, who is insane at gear hoarding. So I made one I won’t give away…

This monstrosity is my breadboard version of the Capsize. I was dead keen to hear what it sounds like. Fantastic IMO.

It was a fair challenge to connect the 074 correctly: it took longer than I expected to troubleshoot as a consequence. But on the second attempt I audio probed each stage as I went to ensure that the signal was getting through and eventually (voilà!) it works.

Breadboarding is TMM an underrated aspect of this hobby.

Doing it makes one understand the advanced skills required to design a functional and well laid out PCB, well beyond my pay grade. So, hats off to @Robert and all who can pull off this engineering feat.
