Fig Buster

Built another fig buster for my brother. He gave the previous one to one of his coworkers. Great all around fuzz with huge range of usable tones. Super easy build.

What is the point of the relay switching? Just the soft touch footswitch? I tried relay switching on one of my boards but it wasn't that reliable. I'm wondering if there are any clear cut advantages to it vs a physical switch

The switch itself will last a lot longer. I think normal stomp switches are rated for 30k switches. Momentary is along the lines of 100k. Plus it looks cooler!

Alright, I'll have to revisit mine. I put it in a 3 in 1 and it was a mess. I'll have to scale it back a bit and try again

I use the relay switching cuz it’s less off board wiring and the soft touch switch doesn’t wake up my wife or kids when I’m riffing at 3am

Honestly. Even when I really dig in and spank the strings it doesn’t wake them up but when I start switching through a bunch of different pedals with normal stomp switches they can hear it from other side of 2 bedroom apartment. I use headphones so they don’t hear any amplified signal. I didn’t believe them at first but I had my wife demonstrate while I listened from the other room. Ka-chunk ka-chunk big time
