There are quite a few of us here ether with kids on the spectrum, on the spectrum or suspected of being on the spectrum🤣, and every year I try and do something: challenges, builds, demos. This year since I can’t think of anything myself So I want to do a contest, prizes so far my idea is a gift code so everyone can participate easily prizes will be based on number of participants the more participants the more I’m willing to fork out and if others what to help with prizes that is welcome.

The concept; try to make you play, new or old builds, 1-2 minute demos 3 min max, minimum 2 tracks ( can be anything) no knob turning ā€œthis is my clean tone,ā€but an actual idea rough or polished with an explanation of both the idea and the signal chain used

This is just the fast and loose idea that will be fully defined later. Right now I am sizing up if there is enough interest and commitment.

You don’t have to have the best chops to have the most interesting ideas, this is about being creative. You can use one pedal or make a wall of sound, 1-3 minutes 3 minutes max. 2 tracks (parts) minimum they can be anything, vocals, guitar, drums, synth, harmonies, a drone note…, I’m trying to find out if enough people are interested.

I'd definitely be excited to hear the kinds of things people are making and read some explanations of the gear they used to make them.

Limited signal chains and knob spinning are great for showing what a pedal does and whether I want one, but seeing the full context of how people are using things is way more interesting.

Uhhh ok, cool?
I was unsure exactly what you were asking so my knee jerk reaction was to meme you… sorry… let’s iron this out, what I was thinking was a contest, build something or use what you got do something fun, if enough people do this some PPCB gift codes will be up for grabs.

I think this thread is on the spectrum.
Also, I can't conclude what level of commitment this is.
I hate other people's kids, Musk, my neighbor's dogs and only somewhat loathsome, but more of a self loathing...

PSA
for anyone feeling apprehensive about recording a performance / pedals demo:
ime, a great way to hide my lack of chops is to use a looper.

also a super simple way to suck up 3 mins

- drop in some root notes
- chuck some chords or whatever over it
- maybe another layer
- noodle over that
- profit with your coupon codes cos you're a mad lad that actually had a go.
