Built over 2 years ago but somehow haven't gotten to posting a build report. I guess very late is still better than never, lol.

Quite an uneventful build. Really happy with how the graphics turned out. I did put some electric tape around the LED/LDR combos after taking the picture.

It is on my board but I haven't used it much. I now figured that the reason is probably that there is a pretty substantial volume boost in the blend mode, a bit too much even for my tastes, as I am not using it as an always on. It also sounds fat, which is maybe not what I am looking for with my current rig. Together with the volume boost it becomes a bit boomy. I have lately tried to use it in the volume mode and am liking it better as I can adjust the volume to taste.

I do really like the compression as it is subtle and there is no pumping. But I probably should have built the Aion Convex as it has a volume toggle in blend mode and the sound is not quite as boomy. Any easy mods to reduce the volume in blend mode and make the sound similar to the Convex? I tried comparing the schematics but they are surprisingly different.

Same with my build and I always wonder if I messed something up or if I subbed the wrong LDR or something. Glad to hear I’m not alone at least! I also ended up using mine in volume mode, but have since switched to the Median for most compressor needs. The Tso still sounds nice to me but I find the settings easier to manage on the Median.

Nice build and I dig the Dino art!
