Guidance on setting BIAS pot on SiliSmile Fuzz?

Anybody have any guidance or rules of thumb when setting bias for the Smili "Fuzz Face" Circuit? Played a little by ear, but Frankly I have no idea if I am tuning to the intent of the bias function in this design!

Technically you're shooting for 4.5 - 5VDC on the collector of Q2, or whatever sounds best.

Thanks, i guess we were lucky, they were provided with the StompBoxParts.com kit: https://stompboxparts.com/kits/fuzz-face-diy-pedal-kit/ i dont know if they are always included, but they were definitely handy!

Those sockets are from stompboxparts.... they are pretty good

You can drill your enclosure and use a standard 16mm pot .. just wire it to the pcb.... I build the exact pcb this way to have an external bias
