Hello i just now built captain bit which is clone of bit commander. Well it works somewhat and I am not sure if it is normal.

There is quite strong gating effect on the down octaves. It cuts off quite much sooner than the base and upper octave. The upper octave is normal. The base sound is alright but it doesn't distort that much like the original I think? It is like mild Overdrive on max setting

Is this normal thanks for any help

Ill add pics soon

Your soldering looks pretty decent.. Might wanna show your offboard wiring and how your switch and jack connections look..... You'll want to break off those tabs on your pots as well before boxing up. Double/triple check your resistor codes versus your pcb.... things like 4k7 versus 47k etc etc..

Well I went through all the parts again. And I think it works as intended. I reflowed the connections.
There is still some slight gating on the sub octaves - it's stops playing sooner than the base sound. I watched more demos of it and I think the original does it too.

Thanks for help
