I chose this project without knowing much about it. I’m new to God City’s PCBs, and this was chosen initially just to round out an order.
This project is a great choice for beginners. Components are arranged in order on the board, and all are easily found. Build docs are brutally (ahem
) detailed. In fact, for a first project, this is probably a better choice than many other kits designed for aspiring builders.
To my complete surprise, this is a raucous distortion. So much that I find it a little difficult to smooth out the dirt. But, when compared to so many pedals with a lackluster response, this one stands out above the crowd.
I like this pedal when in the mood to rock. I dropped one star for the over the top branding on the board where space could have been saved to fit into a smaller enclosure.
