The chorus circuit sounds chorusy and vibey: this circuit stays at unity when engaged. This circuit brings you back to the sound of the 1980s. The toggle switch is an SPDT on/on and switching it back and forth does not bring discernible changes; it is subtle like all the other Caesar builders have said. I think somewhere on the boards Robert suggests swapping out the two 3mm LEDs that are in case. If you like chorus this circuit lets you control your modulation well.
I used a white 125b enclosure and I applied a waterslide decal. If I had to complain about the decal I would say maybe it is darker than it needs to be. I protected the enclosure with Spraymax 2k clear. I used enclosed top jacks and a PPCB top jack plate: note that I used epoxy to hold the D.C. jack in place for long term stability. I used these 16mm white boss style knobs. I have a dress nut on the toggle switch, it is from Amplified parts. If you want to buy one of these make sure you get this type. Others have a lip that does not allow you to use this as a nut. You need to make soure you get "Dress Nut - threaded through, for Mini Toggle Switches". These chamfered edge ones are nonsense IMO.
The rate indicator LED is left of the footswitch and it is a clear blue 3mm in a clear freznel. The bypass LED is right of the footswitch represented by a 3mm clear red LED in a freznel. FYI: The original Julia has the LEDs opposite,
The build has a few uncommon parts: for starters IC3 V3207D BBD Analog Delay Line and IC4 V3102D BBD Clock, Two-Phase. The 8n2nf capacitor is not common and neither is the Zener diode 1/2W, 9.1V.
Notes:
- You need a Zener diode 1/2W, 9.1V PPCB has them
- You need a V3207D
- You need a V3102D
- You need a 8n2nf film capacitor
