My Band's New Single (and it's relation to pedal building!)

Was in two minds as to whether to post this so hope it's not viewed as just a self promoting spam post! But in reality sometimes I need reminding that the reason I build all these pedals is to actually make music with them! :LOL:

My band, Our Man In The Bronze Age have just released a new single from our forthcoming album to be released in October. Why is this relevant on a pedal forum you may ask? Well one thing that happened in the recording sessions for the guitars is that I realised I have built a huge collection of pedals over the years and it was great fun to have so many to choose from for the recording process! It was like having a palette of colours to pick from for perhaps one riff in one bit of one song, something I'll never be able to recreate at a show but very satisfying to put all this DIY to good use! Was wondering if anyone else here has had a similar experience?

Anyway, among the band we're all really proud of what we've produced so I can't help but want to share it, check it out if you fancy some riff action, cheers!

Love that Burny, good looking rig! What is that amp? Your signal chain also? If that is listed somewhere, please know up front I am EXTREMLY lazy when it comes to tracking that down sometimes.. so forgive me if so! lol
I too love the barefoot thing, at first I was like "he's comfy!" then I was like "oh, wait, nobody has shoes!" haha

Thanks man! I’m a bit of a fan of Japanese made LP copies! That one is my favourite though!

The amp is a Jet City JCA100HDM which I did the more common SLO mods to. For this track it’s mostly the amp but I also used a Naga Viper and Boss GE-7 to tweak the tone. There’s also a Micro POG in the mid section. The other guitarist Justin used a Dunlop Q-Zone and HM-2 into a Blackstar HT Club 50. I didn’t build the POG or Boss EQ but the others are all builds of mine.

I can’t quite recall how the barefoot thing happened if I’m honest! I think one of us did it first, so then we all did! 😂

Great tune and I'd say this is certainly the place to strut your wares. It's all relevant and very cool to see builds being used as intended.
