Finally got this one built! It's been sitting in my build box for some time now. Bit of a pain really due to some snags with parts and UV printing.
Had a lot of back and forth with Tayda getting the UV printing done. The graphic was a pain so I had to do some redesign on it. Turned out ok...not quite what I expected but still looks nice. I found a cool graphic of a multicolored wave to represent the wavy nature of the sound. Was planning on it being stretched across the whole pedal diagonally...but couldn't get the graphic to cooperate so that the white labels and logo would pop through it. So I settled on more separation without any overlap. Not the end of the world...just not as cool is all.
I screwed up and forgot a few capacitors, got the wrong ones on others, and ordered 1/4w instead of 1/8w resistors. Once I finally got all the right parts, the build itself came together pretty easily. Kind of surprised that it worked the first time.
Pretty nice sounding vibe. Took a bit of tweaking to get the trimmer pots just right. Really wanted to hear some of the effect with the speed all the way down. I think I got a nice happy mid-spot on all the settings. It's a bit of a raw effect with a slight bit of distortion to it. Not horrible. Kinda cool actually. It's that rawness and warmth that gives way to its appeal. Will be interesting to see how well it stacks with other effects.
