Since there is no scheme uploaded to the site, I need to ask for clarification. Is the "100p" at the bottom of the PCB (just above the LED) correct? The silkscreen has a comically oversized footprint and lead spacing (as do the other 2 "100p") for such a small cap value. Maybe it is supposed to...
Acid-etched enclosure. I separated the single dual LED to have clear indicators per function. Range (sensitivity) switch mounted for external convenience.
This is a verification build [DIY MT2] I just did for Nicholas Williams [formally Dunwich Amps]. It should be available through godcityinstruments.com in the near future. The build doc and other small details are being worked out.
I'll prob stick w the LED as it's going to be the most "open" and loud choice. I just want to see what maybe a mix of LED and Si might sound like. Even different colors too... blue/white etc..
Just finished this and I'm pleased. I used an audio pot vs the linear for the LEVEL as the BOM stated. I like having that jump right about the 3 o'clock setting. These have a ton of low end. Socket the LEDs to experiment in the future. I have a red and yellow in now. I went with a 1590bb to have...
I built a stand-alone Mask Audio Electronics MAE blender, and it works 100% with an HM-2 into a dirty channel. Zero high freq squealing. That was my test before dedicating it to a pedal.
GuitarPCB BnB is bad for high gain applications, especially if you are running the Promethium into a dirty channel. Mask Audio make a blender that may work. I do know from experience the Pepers Pedals blender works perfect for such an application.
What was omitted from my crude mock-up was the LED that I will be adding to the unpopulated pole, as an indicator. Otherwise absolutely no reason to use a 3pdt.
