I’m lazy and need to get on them! I’m notorious for never fully completing anything. I build it, test it, box it up and throw knobs on it. By the time it comes to labels and build reports, those seem to never happen. If you add up all that I have here now, I’m have around 50 completed...

They do…and trust me you want to use it! The way they stage some of the solid state components in the amp, you will get some nasty clipping before the power tubes start really work if I remember correctly (of course that may vary depending on revision…the one I had was the grey rug covered...

You could absolutely use the od250 board. Other than a few component changes (and only using 1 lnob and not 2), the circuits are nearly identical. In fact, Tonepad and some others sell the same Board to do the Distortion+, OD250, and MicroAmp and just list the part differences in the BOM

Love the OD3! Works great as a low-mid gain standalone distortion into a clean amp as well as holds up nicely as an overdrive! May want to try these mods though!

Wonder if a mild dish soap would provide the same benefits? That would also wash off w/o residue. That said for enclosures I need to paint, I always clean with acetone first, so I rarely have to worry about cutting oil residue, but if I can avoid it in the first place I’m willing to try the...
