    LM308N - Any Non-Rat Pedals Use It?

I went down this rabbit whole a while back over on another forum. Most everything that uses that chip is a rat clone, a modded rat clone or heavily inspired by the rat. The only one that turned up for me was an Attack-Decay pedal from the seventies. I haven't had a chance but I want to build it...

Daisy as an onboard effects processor

For a sec I thought "why would you do that to that cool old bass" but the result is excellent. Looks great and I bet the daisy is fun to have on board. A lot of us cut our teeth on the Electra Distortion when we were getting started.

    Sourcing LM308s?

OP, are you in the states or Europe, or elsewhere. If you are in Europe I might know a guy that has some metal can ones.

Green Russian/Civil War Fuzz transistor help

I have been using BC549c's in Sovtek era muffs and I think it sounds a lot closer to the originals that I have played than 5088, though to be fair it has been years since I've played an original. The 2n3904 is probably about the same. From what I've read the character of the sovtek muff's comes...

    A Moral Dilemma

Ugh, I don’t want to wade into this too much but I will say, Kyiv is a very cool city, it is a little rough around the edges, but there is amazing murals painted everywhere through the city. The people are very friendly and nice, everyone is thoughtful and polite. They don’t deserve one bit of...

Spirit Box - I put this in upside down didn’t I

Also, you could leave it like that and just get a 1590bb and chalk it up to learning. Other than the jacks not fitting it should work like that. The pins are all still connected in the correct order.

Spirit Box - I put this in upside down didn’t I

I always use a higher temp when I desolder, especially with solder wick. Use a higher temp, be quick with the iron and take your time. This isn’t an in and out in five minute job. If you’ve got a cheap solder pump don’t bother with it. The ss-02 works really well because of the silicon tip...

Big muff Green Russian Vs Civilian

Just to chime in, I recently finished a CW muff but used 470pf instead of 430pf (because I had them). I used 1n4148's for the diodes. I tested it with 2n5088's, BC549C's, and tried MPSA13's and 18's in Q1 and Q4. All BC549's won hands down. There were no total night and day differences, none...

    Most Versatile Non-FV1 Delay Board

From what I have heard I believe that guy made some errors on the board. And by some, I mean lots.

    Most Versatile Non-FV1 Delay Board

Yeah, it depends what you want out of a delay. The dirt baby is awesome for copping the vibe of a deluxe memory man without investing in BBD chips. The cavedweller dub edition (it's on Vero somewhere) is lo-fi and as cavernous as they get but it's not a clean delay at all, very cool sounds there...

    Chalumeau -First pedal PCB build

Probably have made a hundred odd pedals but somehow this is my first PedalPcb build. It’s a great circuit if you like lo-fi warbling modulation. The Mid-fi Electronics stuff is all really creative stuff, both sound and circuit wise. Unfortunately still has some of that PT2399 harshness a lot of...

    Chalumeau LED Question

That’s what I figured. I was just tired and wanted to check. Don’t know why it’s never occurred to me before. I almost always out LEDs off the switch instead of the board, probably could do this pretty much all the time. I suppose it could put the power to close to something or cause noise...
