I went down this rabbit whole a while back over on another forum. Most everything that uses that chip is a rat clone, a modded rat clone or heavily inspired by the rat. The only one that turned up for me was an Attack-Decay pedal from the seventies. I haven't had a chance but I want to build it...

For a sec I thought "why would you do that to that cool old bass" but the result is excellent. Looks great and I bet the daisy is fun to have on board. A lot of us cut our teeth on the Electra Distortion when we were getting started.

I've been listening to Flood by They Might Be Giants with the kids lately (they love it) and I decided to check out their last record. I never liked the couple albums that followed Flood so I stopped paying attention. The new one is great though

There is no way it's the most useless pedal every. That Mike stomp thing and the Fart pedal are probably less useful, though they are both hilarious.

I like the pickgaurd in the original drawing a lot more. And it looks like he put humbuckers in the drawing as well, which would change the look of it a lot. I think it’s an cool idea, but why not find someone to design something now instead of using a design from 60 years ago. Pretty...

I actually kind of like it. I think I like the story and the old sketches more than the final product though. Think it’s a weird call, but bravo for making something that’s not just another Les Paul

I have been using BC549c's in Sovtek era muffs and I think it sounds a lot closer to the originals that I have played than 5088, though to be fair it has been years since I've played an original. The 2n3904 is probably about the same. From what I've read the character of the sovtek muff's comes...
