    1044scpa vs 7662CP vs 7660

I just posted that link because I found it interesting in general, also as a showcase of how far some people are willing to go :) And I guess it's not easy to find with an internet search. For guitar pedals the MLCC caps I had mentioned one post earlier seem sufficient.

    1044scpa vs 7662CP vs 7660

Sorry, didn't see this message until now. Honestly never tried. According to datasheet you can bring it up to 35k. That's the same as 7660S with pins 1 and 8 shorted. And you can get these to whine, too. We won't hear the 25k nor the 35k. What we hear is heterodyning, when two of these overlap...

    1044scpa vs 7662CP vs 7660

LT1054 is still a charge pump and has ripple. I can get my Electrovibe to whine.

    1044scpa vs 7662CP vs 7660

Here's a link from a few years ago where somebody looked into the charge pump noise and tried a lot of stuff and the extra filter caps killed the high frequency ripple: Link

Hello, if you got charge pump whine I suggest to put some 470nF MLCC caps at the input and the output(s) of the charge pump to ground. Works every time for me. Have a look at the aion Straylight and Ember. That's where I first saw people doing it.

Queen Brian May Fans - Deacy Pedal Project

I think I know what pedal you're referring to. I wouldn't buy it. It's bland and boring.

    Median Compressor trim pot

Hi all, I've seen quite a few build reports on the Median, which makes me want to get one myself. Musikding has them in store, so I'm going to order one soon. I'm wondering if the original really had a trim pot or if it had a resistor instead. So, more of a question for Robert. If there was a...

This Week on the Breadboard: BJFe Arctic White Fuzz

Hello @gtfields13 I found some purple diffused LEDs in the web shop I usually use. Next time I order something I'll add some. They also have violet diffused LEDs, so I'm hoping purple will really be purple.

This Week on the Breadboard: BJFe Arctic White Fuzz

Hi all, Arrived late to the party. Built it and it's fantastic! Thanks for sharing CB! The LED is sadly not purple, but violet. It's a bit of a bummer, but I didn't find purple in my local shop. Lots of space :) How does it sound? It sounds great! I don't have many fuzzes, so I can only...

Which transistor type provide the highest gain: BJT, JFET or MOSFET?

BJT > JFET > MOSFET is what I'd say after a quick interwebs searcheroo.

    SOLVED Sabbath Distortion fizz only

If you have another medium gain BJT NPN lying around, like a 2N2222 (same pinout as BC184) you could try that instead. Maybe put it in a socket. Edit: Here're some voltage readings from mine if you're interested: link
