Hi Chuck, Sorry for the late question :) I'm just getting around to sweet bees and honey and whatnot. In the pregain section, R6 470k to ground. That was not in the first Mojito. There the 1uF went straight to ground. Why was R6 added? Was it because of the pot change from C25K to C50K+47K?

Not sure if PedalPCB has lugs 1 and 2 both connected to VB as there's no schematic in build doc (?). Use your multimeter to find out.

Looks beautiful rwl :) I had noise on my build as well. It was even more prominent at 18V. I think I even posted about it here on the forum somewhere. My JFETs had a VP of ca. -1.5V. Once I replaced them with ones that had ca. -2.1V the noise went away.

Hello, I had the same question some time ago for Q1 of the Sabbath Distortion. So I made a little transistor switcher with an on-on DPDT. The Collectors are joined in the middle on the stripboard and always connected. The DPDT switches Emitter and Base. It worked fine.

Could be. Or maybe a broken opamp. If you socketed the opamps that's probably easiest to try. If you have some other opamp lying around, like a TL072, just try it out if replacing any of the OPAs has a positive effect. Finding a potentially bad soldering joint is trickier. Probably best to step...

Does the LED light up when you turn the pedal on? I mean it sounds stupid, but I can't tell from the pics if you connected the 9V cable to the battery connector of the DC jack or the normal 9V connector (viewed clockwise the next connector after the big one for ground). There are no voltages...

Are you going directly into the compressor with your guitar, or do you run a booster or something in front of it? Active pickups or passive? Can you record the noise so we get a better idea?

Finally got mine! First impressions are good. Not the most squishy comp I have, but it does sound good and controls work fine. Very nice, compact layout! Can't hear any noise, really.
