This is a great mod. Sent me down a path of changing out more parts. Then I eneded up gutting it to build a tearjerker. How do you like the LED there?

Also, be careful with the tayda thinline DC jacks. I’ve broken a few center pins on them. If I were you I would either opt for the real deal lumberg ones, or just drill the hole a little larger.

So I finally had a chance to test this guy out this morning, but I didn’t get any sound :( after opening it up I realized I put IC1 in the socket wrong. The two bottom legs were sticking out of the socket. After fixing that(I put a whole new 4558 in because the legs got bent) I got sound. But...
