    Reverb Preferences

Yeah, I’m finishing that one up one of these days. I put in a trim pot for the resistor, so we’ll see what I land on. Also seems that the improved mixer has a bug, so the suggestion is to use the traditional mixer option. As far as DIY, I like the Spring Reverb FV1 program that’s floating...

Griffin Ricochet (Surfy Bear Clone) Issues

Good insight! I just pulled out R15 after seeing these threads. My thought is to add a 10 ohm trim pot, either on the board if I can make it fit or on a strip board so that I can play with the resistance and not burn the board up with changing resistor values.

Yup, that’s the usual way to do it, but I happened down an unnecessary rabbit hole

    Installing SpinCAD designer

In case it's of interest to anyone, I followed this thread (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4805123?sortBy=best) to create an Automator app for MacOS so I can launch SpinCAD from the Launchpad, which makes things very convenient!

    Installing SpinCAD designer

Ahh, I see it now, thank you! I also now see that specified in the instructions, so, I'm just hard of seeing apparently.

    Installing SpinCAD designer

Hey everyone, I moved computers and was looking to install SpinCAD designer. I cloned the git repo, but I can't seem to find the .jar file (even when searching for jar files in the git web interface). I feel like I must be blind and I'm missing something obvious - any help would be appreciated!

Terrarium Rev 1 with Daisy Seed v1.2 rev 7 Noise Issue Work Around - Applies to OLD Terrarium REV 1 board only!

Thanks for the tip! My Terrarium is still in progress, so perhaps I’ll try adding this in the vicinity of C2 and R9

Possible solution to reduce the noise of the terrarium build

Yup, that’s basically what I was thinking, I’ll have to see if it makes more sense to then put C2 and the RC filter on the pot side of the PCB since space may be tight to also fit the seed above everything.

Possible solution to reduce the noise of the terrarium build

Very interesting, so in theory this could potentially grafted in the vicinity of C2 and R9? I’m thinking to add the 10k resistor in series with the 1u cap and the 1nF cap to ground at R9 maybe?

    Same old stuff I guess

I built a vibracaster, which I really like. It’s a starved plate design, but I could definitely see some tweaks to use hv plates and even use tubes for the LFO rather than transistors. It’s a pretty classic bias based tremolo, and quite nice, I think.

    New project stuff maybe?

I think with how much you’ve been pushing the envelope for what’s possible in DIY it’s understandable that some things may turn out less than ideal, especially on the first rev. I appreciated your email and your dedication to seeing things through - it really speaks to your character. I at...

    New project stuff maybe?

I’ve really enjoyed following this project, super amazing what you all have come up with! I agree with others that the pricing you’ve proposed seems super reasonable - for maybe a comparison, I built the partial kit that MAS offers for the his Mirmir’s well, which was about 100. I didn’t think...

    Griffin Ricochet -SurfyBear clone

Nice! I just got one of these boards as well! How hot do the power transistors get? Griffin informed me that they have a built in heat sink under them - so interested to see how that works. I’m also planning on a gold enclosure - seems very fitting!

5 builds (another PCB seller to avoid)

Sorry to hear about these - somewhat related, I built Moonn’s Space is fun, which is a Reverberation machine, and it works. It took awhile to get the pcb from Germany, but he did throw in a free pcb for an Interstellar Overdrive clone, which I found to be surprisingly good!
