FWIW, I've Tayda-printed with shit outside the artboard boundaries, and it's worked just fine.

Beautiful build! The drain pins on Q4 and Q5 are continuous on the schematic and the test point TP1. The drain pin is usually continuous with the heatsinks on mosfets (IIRC.) So they'd likely be connected even if you didn't share the heatsink between them. I'd go ahead and fire it up after...

Sounds like a weak connection inside. Reflow all the solder joints, and you're probably fixed.

The top and bottom pads are electrically connected by a via. So no, it does not matter. It might make you feel better, but it won't change a thing as far as the electrons are concerned.
