I don't know enough to say what they're doing. Given they're in the path I assume some sort of clipping. I guess I can socket when I get the rest of the parts, see how it sounds. I just can't see bat43 available at any of my usual haunts.

As a complete bird nerd and sometimes pedal builder, your builds speak to me in a very specific language.

Any idea what I could use in place of bat43? I have 41, 46, 4148, 5817, 4001, 914 Or should I make the effort to find 43?

Popped out the tantys, no difference

So I was just checking the PCB, and the tantys do have little indicators for the anode, and they definitely are in correctly. I tried switching out the opamp with some other 72s and even an opa2134, no difference, and switched the charge pump with another as well. I've tried my Isobrick, a wall...

I like the idea of a challenge of SMD building, what I didnt enjoy was looking into how if I want to build just one microXLR I'd need to buy 50 capacitors. So now I'm onboard with prepopulated SMD building.
