This one is from the chaps at Fuzzdog, it's based on the Seppuku Mind Warp and they called their PCB Brain Bomb, so I went with that name, after stumbling over a Melvins gig poster that seemed to have a fitting image I could partially "borrow".

There's a PT2399 in there, it's avertised as a vibrato/chorus with a twist, which is giving you all sorts of lovely warbly sounds.
I really dig it, it's very cool on fretless.

Hey do you happen to remember how the blended clean signal was/is for you? For me it seems to boost and warm up the signal a bit too much, I wonder if I messed something up or if that's just something it does (or maybe 2N5088 tolerance could affect it)?

The one time I don't socket the transistors...

I think I was pretty happy with the blend, at least I don't remember not being happy with it. But I haven't played it for a while, so I'll try not to forget to plug it in again to double check. It's in the Doom Room though, not at home, so that might take a few days.

Also, I'm using it on bass, so "boost and warm up" are things I generally like on blended clean signals.

This is one of my favorite modulation circuits from SeppukuFX that you can get a clone of. Not quite as weird as Cassette or Memory Loss but loads more usable. Awesome job on the graphics.

What a doom room? It has to have a goat pen...?

A room for doom. 🤘

@Fama there sure is that boost on the clean signal, but I wouldn't say it's too much, at least not for my taste. And I prefer to keep it pretty wet anyway, like 80:20 or so. A master volume would be fine though.

Or maybe you could play around with R4 (and/or R2) to get less boost? I'm no smart enough to know if that would actually help ....

Thanks for checking! It's probably more of an issue for guitar, it can be pretty noticeable for me. I found some FSB (I think) thread with a partial schematic, and it seems R2 was 470k and 390k in parallel, so the end result would be more like 213k. Not sure if Fuzzdog made a mistake or traced a different unit, I got the impression that the Seppuku units were not necessarily of the highest standard - small pedal manufacturers were much less organized back then.

So I might at least test soldering in another resistor in parallel, that feels like an easier solution to me than switching it out. Maybe I can rig it up so that I can try it out first before I solder it in.
