Here's my finished Black Eye. I had it working and then went back in and added the bass switch that has been talked about on this forum. I'm glad I did because it makes it more versatile. I first tried a 12AT7 in v1 because I heard how much gain it had, and how @MichaelW felt it gave the Gain pot a more useful range in the early part of the rotation. But then put in the 12AX7 and I think I do like the sound of it better. I think Michael was right about the 12AT7 and Gain pot though.
Anyway, it sounds KILLER!
