Leprechaun a very frustrating build

This was a real pain to build. Came as a kit and I soldered the FV-1 myself. Thought that was the problem as everything else seemed fine. Ended spending a couple of days trouble shooting. Swapped out the CD4069UBE which arrived today and now all working. When I was looking for solutions found out the pots on the front are not the same a the original, should of checked before doing art work. Probably redo it as some point just happy its working.

What was the issue you were having? i think a bad batch of CD4069s might be why my super heterodyne receiver isn't working, i get a weird divebomb sound which i think is noise going into the CD40106.

Thanks. Yes I was getting a high pitched noise which as you say sounds a bit like a bomb

ok this gives me some hope then!!! they have NOS chips on stompboxparts so I'll pick some up.
