Is there a trick to using these led bezels?

Hey everyone.

I bought some of these led bezels lined below to try out but I’m having trouble getting them to work right.

Either they are too loose and the LEDs wiggle around or they are just too tight and I damage the led forcing them into the hole.

Is there a trick that I am missing here? I am using a metric drill set that goes I’m by 0.5mm increments

You can always use some silicone caulk on the inside to hold it in place as well if it’s all loosy goosy.

I think the way I use them is that the LED is in the bezel when you push it in. If the bezel is in the hole already, I'm not sure if you can push the LED in at that point. I've used mostly just pre-drilled Tayda enclosures and used the mounting holes they suggest.

Although tbh I think I've used the smaller versions of these more often, but also those ones sometimes.

I think if I remember correctly the 5mm ones use a 5/16" hole, or I guess like 8mm metric? If I'm thinking of it right I'm pretty sure I go very slightly undersized though, like 19/64" or 7.5mm perhaps would work. But more importantly, as others have said - make sure the LED is seated in the bezel *before* installing the bezel in the enclosure. That usually works pretty nicely for me.

That being said, I know it's a faux pas for many but....I typically end up putting a dab of hot glue on the bezel/LED once it's installed and that locks it down solid.
