SOLVED Awful Waffle Drive Effects Tone

As I turn the drive past 3 o'clock, the drive increases but the control acts like a low pass filter. All the way open tone is muffled and bassy.

I've checked all resistor values and cap values. Everything checks out.

Not that this is the problem, but early on I had issues with using those kind of audio jacks with the ppcb-style top jack drill template. Both times my issues were resolved when I switched to the black enclosed jacks.

The issue I have with the insulated jacks is the tension they apply to the plug tip is minimal. If my pedals aren't arranged just right on the pedal board, the patch cables will pop out. This is only an issue when I am swapping out pedals or rearranging pedals. It's a PITA regardless.

That’s fair. I have that problem if I use some D’Addario patch cables I have. It’s not even a 0.1mm smaller shaft, but they just barely hang on to those insulated jacks. I might try bending the tongue in for the tip connection on my next build.
