I think most of us have built/bought a few
Muffs and discovered which Muff is “their” Muff. Mine is the og Dope Priest/74 Ram’s Head #1 specs. It’s a street fighter. I’ve been wanting to build one with a few extra bells and whistles, but nothing crazy like the Factory haha. The Muffinator board felt like the best platform for my build so I ordered two.
The build came together easy, I went with BC549Cs. 4148 and LEDs for the clipping options. AMZ body/presence control. There are many Muffs but this one is most definitely mine.
For the second pcb my first thought was either Triangle or Violet specs. But I kept thinking, would I use it much instead of the 74 Ram. I then remembered the Hoof which is a great distinct Muff variation. I used stock Hoof values. 2N3904s and MP38s. Same clipping options as the other pedal.
Enclosures are Tayda glow in the dark. I wanted a sparse livery. The LEDs are 10mm pink I ordered after seeing a build by @VanWhy with a yellow10mm LED.
The pedals are named after a couple of old musty books I came across in the Miskatonic Univeristy library when I attended classes there.
