You could always store them in an actual rack unit (whilst still wired into a remote switchbox!).. I'm trying to hold myself back from building another 3 or 4 of these units for myself and stacking them..

Yes, it's just a sliding metal drawer for 19" rackmount. I bought it from a local Australian supplier - there are a few options online though so you should be able to get hold of one fairly easily.

I've been wanting to find some Draughtsman's Plans type drawers, but hard to find used ones now that plans are all stored digitally.

Often you'll see three or four drawers, but I'd have to stack a few of those...



Better would be some vintage ones, made out of that weird ancient fibre-cellulose stuff — used to be used for everything before plastic and metal, so much so that you'd think it was grown on trees...
