L78L05: NPN or PNP

Is the L78L05 an NPN or PNP transistor? I believe it is an NPN. I thought a quick Google search would clear it up but I got confusing mixed results from AI (see attached screenshots).

The L78L05 is a voltage regulator, here's a link where you can download datasheets, that will be more accurate than AI by the looks.

I see. It’s not really a transistor. It just looks like one,… looks a lot like one. It actually has transistors inside it. People refer to it as a transistor in casual conversation (not confusing at all, haha), but really it is a regulator that ensures a steady 5v gets through. Looks like in pedals we use it on IC components that require 5v (like a pt2399). If I’m off, please let me know.
