Finished my JTM45 and Brown Deluxe at last!

I actually built the electronic parts of these almost a year ago. I built the cabs and then they sat there most of the year as I psyched myself up for the tolexing. And now they are done. Both are 1x12 combos with Celestion G12H speakers. I have posted pics of the interiors before so here are pics of the cabs.

I originally made the JTM45 with JJ KT66s but it sounded a bit mid-scooped, so now it has KT77s. Much better!

The Brown Deluxe is wonderful. I love it.

Is that “western style” tolex on the first amp?

I’m starting to think about an amp build myself, and want to use that tolex! I basically want to copy the look of Homestead amps.

Either way, both look fantastic!

Thanks! Yup, it's brown western style tolex. I thought it appropriate given that my logo says "Cowboy". And it looks great. BTW both cabs are solid finger-jointed pine. A Marshall style amp sounds kinda fuller/more tweed in a solid pine cab.

Man alive, those turned out GORGEOUS!

I was going to ask for gut shots but I found your other thread. Beautiful inside too :)

I know this community is pedal focused but I really enjoy seeing amp content from our peoples.

Actually I just went back and looked at those interior shots. I have since revised the grounding schemes and as a result both amps are a lot quieter now - thank you Mr Psionic Audio.

Thanks everyone. I feel a bit of a show-off but I do love building amps. I'm nearly finished building a TV cabinet for my young architect son to his design and it has been the hardest thing I have ever made. In comparison amp cabs are a walk in the park!

Now I'm trying to work out what to make next.
