Sunn Beta Bass

One of my earliest builds was a Sunn Beta Bass (one channel):

After that, I wanted to build a "full" Beta Bass Preamp.
I used the Factory Schematics to create a pcb:

Then I used a milling machine to create a enclosure:

Yes, I used a decal.

Looks great! I built a dual channel Lead version based on the Aion FX boards, but that limits knob layout severely of course. This makes me want to learn creating my own PCBs

This was in my dreams, and you made it!

It's actually still in my dreams--I have a 100v power amp and a splitter/mixer ready for modular preamp goodness especially to recreate the beta. Not so elegantly, though. It will probably look like trash, but really loud trash.

Hahaha--I'm actually pretty ignorant of APTBS, but really loud trash is a good description of what I do know of their oeuvre. Besides mostly interesting pedals.

I am happy that they are providing much needed punk rock effery in these here times.
