source for genuine TDA2040 ?

I know not "pedal relate" but there's a lot of experience here and was wondering if you could help a fella out...

Have an old Peavey SS amp with a TDA2040 - TDA2040s, from what I hears, are widely counterfeit
Anyone know of a reliable source for a TDA2040? Cant find it from my normal parts suppliers.

Other than that - I hear a possible sub is a LM1875 ??

I haven't had anything squirrelly from them that I've found.
They did ship some ICs in non-esd bags. Not everything. But still...
That was a couple years ago.

I haven't ordered those specific chips, but the transistors I've previously ordered from Nightfire have tested legit. You can always give them a call and ask re: legitimacy, about their suppliers, and about their return policy. And test the chips in your amp when they arrive, if they don't sound right then return them.

And I agree with @jwin615 regarding their use of non-ESD bags.
