trying to figure out a type and source for these components.

trying my first few builds. saw this klon clone and trying to source similar parts to compare to the other one I just built. I know it's probably going to be indistinguishable but I like the way it looks. my first one I built using the BoM from the tone geek's mouser link and it sounds amazing. im not expecting much different from this one.

1. I need to find WIMA capacitors in the following values. im not sure they offer all these values. mouser doesnt seem to list them. is there something equjivalently overpriced and snake oil I can use to replace them

2. what are the 4 large red 1uf capacitors and the two 47uf silver capacitors likely on the side of the board. I believe these are all in the power supply so I may just get the highest end nichicon caps that fit there

3. I have already sourced the tight tolerance black H8 resistors. just stinks 2 values are backordered from mouser.

4. I also have plenty of the nichicon muse bi-polar capacitors. those were not fun to find. especially the 4.7uf ones.

I'm sure a lot of the really experienced people in here would tell you that there is really not a lot of magic in fancy parts..... Some things are worth bumping up the quality here and there, but honestly most of the crap you read on the interwebs is hype. It's actually how do you personally perceive what you built or someone else built unbiased... If it sounds good.. it is good...

I knew thats what most people would say. to be honest, im not expecting to to sound any better. its not like I used junk parts for my other build. if anything sounds better id honestly just assume it was from using tighter tolerance values. or a better set of diodes. its more of an exercise of why not than a "this is going to be the best ever". there are so few parts in a klon the cost difference is negligible either way

by all mean..... build one with all the wima and nichicon gold goodies and dale/vishay resistors... but build the same thing with all parts from tayda or even amazon... I' think you'll surprise yourself.... I'ts ok to get middle of the road stuff.. I really don't think its worth buying all premium parts .. even for my personal builds.....

WIMA. It can be read on the cap between the two silver caps. Not sure of anything else you asked.

Whether the various brands/types/vintage different components make a difference or not has been debated for a long time and as you see the debate continues... Personally I only build one-offs for myself so purchasing top shelf parts isn't as big of an impact as purchasing parts for say 25+ copies of the same pedal.

Digikey is another place to check for components.

Thanks. I think this pedal build will cost less than $40 difference more than my other build. That’s like 7 large eggs at current prices

also, wima doesnt seem to make anything in these value. I was hoping to find something other than the white Kemet that look kinda ugly. but thats probably what ill do the rest in.
