Cobbler (V1 Copper) reducing brightness

Anyway see how in the first "tube" there's a 100p cap? That forms a low pass that rounds off the harmonics. You can additionally add that same value cap to the other two clipping stages. You can populate R6 and R12 with both the resistor and cap to create the same parellel arrangement as C3 R4.

Could also reduce R7 to 47K or so, or use a 100K trimmer to find your preferred setting. Lower values will shift the balance between the bass and treble controls to reduce the treble and increase the bass. It all depends on whether you think there's too much treble before or after the gain stages, since changing those caps or adding them will also change the character of the distortion.

I think I’ll give that a shot. I probably should have prefaced by saying that I’m trying to slightly reduce brightness in a way that keeps the overall sound/feel of the circuit intact. Thank you!
