Q-Tune Build

Got back from vacation Monday and found the Q-Tune box sitting on my doorstep, finally got around to putting it together tonight.

I used machined sockets instead of the included leaf-style ones as I've had bad experiences with those, and I also decided not to socket the relays as I figure they'll probably last longer than I will. Also subbed an electrolytic for the 1uF as the included 1uF MLCC vanished mysteriously during the build and I don't have any on hand.

Tube tuner next?

Tube tuner next?
It's kind of a joke, but it's something I've considered doing for fun.

Are you going to compare it to well-known tuners? This looks intriguing
Nope, I think someone else did that though. I don't have a bunch of tuners lying around, the only tuner I will be using for the foreseeable future is the Shure GLXD6, I just wanted to build this one because it seemed like a neat project.

I did some tuner comparisons a while back, comparing Q-tune, Peterson, Turbo Tuner and Polytune 3.
