VHS: no effects

Hey there everybody11

I've been building pedal pcb rigs going on 6 years now and decided to do a VCR build for a good army buddy of mine, anyway built the first one and no effect what so ever so i was sent a new eeprom, still didn't fix it, I've reflowed everything, including the FV-1 today just to make sure everything was making proper contact and still nothing.......tried switching eeproms which all have been purchased from pedal pcb, so now that I've completed both circuits and have had the same result, I'm at a loss.......what the hell am i doing wrong? also I have brain damage due to my time in Iraq back in 04' so every time i make and audio probe it doesn't work and I'm sure it's me, maybe I'm not understanding the proper way to use it. and at 45.00 a pop i cant afford a 3rd one just to have it fail to work as well. I've scoured the forum and everything that seems to work for everybody else is not working for either of my two rigs. is there any other magic i should try? I thought about asking the wizards at pedal pcb if they could look at them for me but I highly doubt it so haven't asked them. Well i'm going to go play some Star Wars and try to figure it out again myself but i thought Id ask the gurus in here for any idea's or help if possible. have a great day all you cool cats and kittens! we might be able to help you... you did well by starting a troubleshooting thread.. Now get us some good clear pictures of how you have everything wired up in the enclosure... then take out of the enclosure and give us good photos of both sides of the board to get some suggestions... Where are you located?

Sorry I’ve been busy and have just now got back here I’m in Oregon, I never boxed either of them up as I like to test them before I waste an enclosure, here are the pics let me know if they need to be closer or more angles have a great day everybody!! Make sure you don't have a solder bridge here.

I know this is after reflowing and not the original issue, but still better safe than sorry.

What does the pedal do? Do the LEDs work? Do you have sound in bypass? When active, do you have a clean dry signal (with any combination of switches) or just silence?

And no, do not spend another $45, let's get this one working.

@swelchy is right down the road from me so surely between the two of us we can get it going for you. I was going to offer to troubleshoot it myself but realistically it could end up sitting on a shelf for a while, so he's probably a better choice if time is of any importance at all.

I’ll double check that fv1 for bridging and that cap and send both to swelchy to play with I already did two with the same result thank you guys

I’ll do that! I’ll try the suggestions and then I’ll send you both of em if that’s okay I’m having the same problem with both! Bought the second Incase the first was just not good but second didn’t work either. I appreciate the help this has been stressing me out lol.
