Nice build, and agreed this was a no brainer. Was planning to something similar with leds for eyes, but was going to use the clippers instead of the status ones.

Using the clippers sounds cool, and maybe that's obvious, but I'll add that their brightness will depend on the Gain pot (more gain = more light) and also the clippers won't be synchronized regarding brightness.

i have a question regarding the clippers led... both should light up? in my build just one light up and the other not

The upper LED has a 1N4148 diode in series, if that's the one that isn't lighting up it's most likely normal.
