    SOLVED Electrovibe - Deadish?

Yes, I adjusted them to about noon on both trim pots before testing.

    SOLVED Electrovibe - Deadish?

Update -- I plugged it into the amp and in bypass mode it works. I have signal from guitar to amp. When I engage the 'vibe' switch, I get a loud pop to the amp and the LED comes on but VERY low output. I still get signal but no effect. The speed switch does nothing and the LED attached to it...

    SOLVED Electrovibe - Deadish?

That's a really good question. Let me 'Socrates' you with do the input and output jacks have to be affixed to an enclosure or are they considered self grounding?

    SOLVED Electrovibe - Deadish?

Howdy folks, I'm at the testing phase of my Electrovibe build and it hasn't been an easy go. I'm not quite certain what's going on with this guy. I have no LEDs but there is power to the board. I have verified +9.25vdc at the power supply, at the board, and from + to the first diode I have...

    Queen Bee Overdrive (KoT)

This is the same guts from my last one but I decided to change the theme on it. I'm still loving the sound. Decided not to make any additional tweaks. It is stacked behind a clean boost (PedalPCB Ember) and Klon clone (AionFX Klon w/ DB9 diodes).

    Electrovibe Wiring Diagram

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I cannot find the ElectroVibe build docs. I cobbled together what I could from the site: BOM, drill template and schematic but a wiring diagram is definitely helpful to me as a noob. It’s not an exact one to one wiring the switches onto the board. Speed...

    Paragon with MA858 and 1S1588

Does the regular sized paragon have a charge pump to take a 9v to 18v on the board? I wasn't aware. I thought I had read some stuff that this was a mod that was possible to give it more clean head room?

    Paragon with MA858 and 1S1588

Yeah I don’t like distortion — it’s not my thing. I like boost and OD. Just to send the tubes into overdrive, edging into distortion only rarely

Does it matter how you wire in the bulb?

    Paragon with MA858 and 1S1588

So just replace the gain pots with C250k and flip on the clipping diodes and you get a range from boost through OD to distortion?

    Paragon with MA858 and 1S1588

Hey Jeff! Thanks for the suggestion. When you say 'offset mine ... one channel uses one set and the other channel opposite set...' what do you mean? I have the same MA 858 diodes on both side. Right now all of the dips are off but I was considering using soft clipping on both sides. Looking at...

    Paragon with MA858 and 1S1588

Good point. I’ll play around with them and see if I can coax a sound out that I like and record another video.

    Paragon with MA858 and 1S1588

As the title says! I just got this boxed up and tested tonight. All clipping is turned off as I don't like too much distortion. It has original MA858 and 1S1588 diodes. Sounds perfect to my ears! The noodling is unforgivable but you know how it be! The enclosure it's in now is temporary. I...

    SOLVED Fixing lifted pot pads?

Hello! Eek! I’m putting the final touches on my paragon and I accidentally lifted two of the pads on the b25k pot. Is this a big deal? Can I just shove the wires in and fill them up with solder or do I have to do some surgery? I’ve never fixed a pad before. Please advise!
