    DEFX EVA (Spaceman Gemini IV)

Pretty straightforward build. The only substitution was auditioning different Ge transistors, the guts pic shows a GT402B, which sounded good, but I ended u sticking with the AC128 recommended in the BOM. I got Tungsram Ge transistors from this ebay seller, he lets you specify hfe and I also...

SOLVED Madbean Slow Loris - no sound

I've checked component values and inspected for solder bridges or melted caps. I scrubbed both sides of the board clean of flux. The only sub I made is an Op07 instead of the LM308, I left the 30pf compensation cap in because I read that it did no harm, could that be causing no sound? I checked...

Deadend FX Shillelagh switch wiring question

I just finished a DEFX EVA and have a hyped fuzz in the build queue. Now I guess I have to buy a Shillelagh board, build it, and do a shoot out.

Deadend FX Shillelagh switch wiring question

Have you tried wiring it based on the standard DEFX layout? I would guess just the two rows of lugs in order since there's no 3rd row like on 3PDT. Dino has answered my questions pretty quickly via email as well when I get stuck: [email protected]

    PSA: Skeptical Buffer Send/Return

Not totally on topic, but I tried a retail version of the Euna with my non-buffer-friendly fuzz in the loop and it still sounds better with the Euna removed entirely. Sold the Euna and am building a Skeptical buffer for a separate effects chain and will be skipping the loop.

Photos of these enclosure colours from Tayda? Matte Violet/Viola Pink/Pastel Violet

Late to the thread, but here's a MBP Trash Compactor with Tayda UV print on Viola pink.

    DIY Tube Headphone Amplifer (Hi-fi)

The Crack and other OTL designs are great for high impedance headphones like the hd600/650. If you don't need a kit, and want something that will work well with a broader range of headphones, there's some cool designs on wtfamps.com - I like the Papa Rusa

delay that repeats forever but doesnt make the repeats louder when on high feedback?

Granular delays/microloopers can do it. Pedals like Red Panda particle, CBA mood, Hologram microcosm, Pladask etterslep and baklengs, etc. There's lots of free software granular effects if you don't need it in pedal form.

SOLVED Substituting TS jack for TRS jack

I totally agree, I know all the symbols and I'm slowly making progress on how stuff actually works. I'm also switching careers and studying for a bunch of certifications so circuit knowledge has to take the back seat for a bit, my brain is too old and worn to learn many things at once.

    DC Echo Mod questions

It's on the page you linked. Don't know when it was released

    DC Echo Mod questions

That's a much smarter way to do it.

    DC Echo Mod questions

SPDT on-on-on mini toggles don't seem to exist. All I can find is huge switches for trucks. Unless someone has a secret source I think I'm going to wire two separate SPST on-off toggles for each delay path to the side of the enclosure. That way I can do short on/long off and vice versa, or both on.

    DC Echo Mod questions

There was an older build report where he added the effects loop and I asked how it was done yesterday, but I also wanted to add a tone pot and multiple delay taps. I didn't think I should keep asking about different mods in a build report which didn't have them, so I started a new mod thread...

    DC Echo Mod questions

Awesome, thanks for your help again. I have the board ordered, it'll probably take me a while to get this one done, but I'll make sure to post a demo with the mods.

    DC Echo Mod questions

Here is the schematic: I'm going to add an effects loop based on @DGWVI 's post so I don't really plan to use the onboard modulation, could I use one of those pots as a simple low pass tone control for the feedback, or leave them in and just add the tone control coming off the lifted leg of R44...

DEMO LectricFX DC Echo (EHX Ech 600)

This looks great, would you be willing to share instructions for adding the effects loop? I've been wishing someone would come out with an analog delay board with an effects loop, this would be perfect.

SOLVED Substituting TS jack for TRS jack

I have a Synthrotek Ratatak rat clone board that I just realized calls for a TRS jack on the input, can I just use a TS jack and leave the ring solder point on the board unconnected if I don't plan to add a 9v battery? Or solder the pin from the DC connector jack to the ring solder point? Here...

Putting a computer together for gaming and recording?

MOTU M2/M4 have really low latency with PCs for not too much money on the used market, and are bus powered, which can be good and bad, but if latency is the main concern they're great. I don't love the mic pres on my M4, they're kind of dark and murky to make it sound less "digital" but the line...
