I really looked forward to this build. Tubes, transformer in a pedal?...yes please! As soon as I saw the BOM had links and in stock I jumped. I've only played it a little bit but it's warm goodness. First real step will be setting the DI outpost. Super fun build!

I had to troubleshoot my cataclysm. It was my own fault for not taking the board out of the box before drilling some holes bigger and chips got mixed into the board. Building and using this audio probe was the only way I was able to solve. I would look at a short happening on the board...

I like to chip off the larger bits of flux GENTLY with a flat head screwdriver. Then hit with kimwipes and IPA. Then the final brush down.

It think it was Andrew Masters or Mitch Gallager (both Sweetwater whores) who had the Ikea shelf idea for pedals.

I use craft foam but I check it with my DMM first to insure it's ZERO conductive.

Reverse drill bit. I had to get a set when I broke the whammy bar off on my old strat as a teenager. I've only ever used it three times in forty years but worth it every time!

If I understand you correctly, it's my understanding that it's the opposite of that. Looking at the pedal on the floor, right goes into left for me but it would be the opposite if you've got it open from the bottom. :D

+1 on this one. I've had mine for nine years now and only replaced the tip once. I'd like a fancy shmancy one but only for my delicate ego.

I tried blu tack but it was just a mess for me. I prefer kapton tape but I'll still use painters tape sometimes.
