    Funbox Builds

The dip switch lined up great. The expression and midi jacks were not exactly centered, but I think they are lined up well enough to work fine. I haven't tried them yet, but I hope to in the not-too-distant future. :) Another Planet Seried patch? I'm listening...

    Funbox Builds

Thanks to @keyth72 for making this project available. I am really happy with the results. I ordered the PCB's from Oshpark and had to get three, so these are the first two builds. I plan on making a third on in the near future. :) The enclosures are Tayda 125B's drilled by Tayda using...

EXAMPLE Developing a custom pcb for Daisy Seed - Funbox

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your sharing of this. I also like the idea of random, as I was thinking of pairing it with an OBNE Ramper. The new version has a random mode. Also, pretty cool that you made a midi synth out of this. You are on fire!

EXAMPLE Developing a custom pcb for Daisy Seed - Funbox

Good news! I finished boxing it up and both the 1 kHz whine and noise are gone. I have a TL074 in for the IC and it seems dead quiet to me. I haven't tested it into a bunch or amps or anything, just into my cab sim with a headphone out (Neunaber Iconoclast). That is what I use to record, so I...

EXAMPLE Developing a custom pcb for Daisy Seed - Funbox

Update on my build. Parts arrived and I was able to finish soldering the board. I uploaded the Neptune patch via the web loader. The bad news is that it is noisy and I am getting the dreaded 1 kHz whine. I tried a TL074 and the only other quad op amp on hand, which is a TLC274BCN. Same issue...

This looks awesome. As soon as my parts arrive I will be giving this one a try.

EXAMPLE Developing a custom pcb for Daisy Seed - Funbox

I am still waiting for some parts to arrive for my build. I have several TL074 on hand that I am planning to use. I will try them and let you know what I get. If I get the same noise, I will report it here. Thanks for the update. Sorry that it is taking a while for me to build. I missed a few...

EXAMPLE Developing a custom pcb for Daisy Seed - Funbox

I went with Oshpark. It was simple enough to upload the KiCad project and have them make 3 copies. The build guide is a great write-up! I appreciate the work that went into that as well! I am excited to build this and probably end up building a few. The Planet series looks really cool. I have...

EXAMPLE Developing a custom pcb for Daisy Seed - Funbox

This sounds so cool. I received my Funbox pcb's yesterday. I am just waiting for some other parts to arrive so that I can build one. Thank you for sharing all of this.

Chop Shop (new revision) - any final builds there?

I believe that I built one and posted my build here: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/chop-shop-desolate-fuzz.20576/#post-258752 Is there something in particular you are worried about?

    Chop Shop & Desolate Fuzz

Thank you for the kind words. I use a Cricut and colored vinyl. It has limitations, but I like trying to work within those limitations. Plus, I love midcentury and Swiss graphic design, so I am always trying to emulate that.

    Chop Shop & Desolate Fuzz

I found a couple of sounds I liked pairing them. I have the Desolate going into the Chop Shop. The Desolate is very fuzzy and gated and the Chop Shop can help smooth it out just a little. YMMV.

    Chop Shop & Desolate Fuzz

Here is my build of the Chop Shop. As I stated in one of the request posts, I would build anything from Fairfield, so here are the build reports. :) Both of these went together nice and smooth. I am using the basic latching relay switching. I also used SMD trannies from Tayda. All of which...

    Fornicus LEDs

Looking at videos of the original pedal, I believe that the momentary LED has a couple of functions depending on the sag switch setting. It lights up when in sag mode (when the momentary switch disengages the sag function). The original also lights brightens and dims with the signal as set by...

    Equilux Equalizer FB Question

Sorry, I was not feeling well so I haven't been on the interwebs. DM your address and I will pop them in the mail tomorrow.

    Equilux Equalizer FB Question

Here is the parts list I used. I believe that the standard and the mini are the same except for the ferrite bead. It is not present in the mini version. I have extra ferrite beads I can share if needed.

How would you improve this L5 preamp labeling?

Maybe try this: move the Bright, Multifilter, Bright, and Comp above the switches. Then move the off-on, and 1-2 to the left and right of the switches. So channel 1 has Bright above the switch and then off-on is to the right centered with the switch. The Multifilter is above and the 1-2 is to...

    VIIB

My great innovation, LOL. I always think left to right, top to bottom. So, the rate is top left, the depth is upper right, and the rise is the bottom knob. My wife got a Cricut for Christmas, and I have committed to using that for labeling. It does not do small type very well, so this was a...
