Chop Shop & Desolate Fuzz

Here is my build of the Chop Shop. As I stated in one of the request posts, I would build anything from Fairfield, so here are the build reports. :)

Both of these went together nice and smooth. I am using the basic latching relay switching. I also used SMD trannies from Tayda. All of which worked fine and I had no problems biasing in the Chop Shop.

I like how both sound and I was able to find some interesting tones out of each right away. I am hoping to do some recording for a new project and expect to use both of these soon.

Great looking builds — especially liking the ChopShop!

Do they pair well together?

When I saw the thread title I thought it was going to be a combo build. Depending on how they pair, might do that myself.

Are those decals? Those are both nice designs. Extra points for getting the job done with one color. I always like that.

I found a couple of sounds I liked pairing them. I have the Desolate going into the Chop Shop. The Desolate is very fuzzy and gated and the Chop Shop can help smooth it out just a little. YMMV.
