I noticed a big bump in volume when I ran my Sansamp into it. Not enough to push it into "playing with a drummer" territory, but a noticable difference for sure.

Yeah, in the forum post the person who designed that circuit was talking about filtering out AC. And yeah, I ordered some of those caps thinking I'd use the and they are gigantic!

The only other thing that comes to mind is if you get the 24v, 3amp power supply, make sure all of your components (ac inlet especially) are rated for that much current. I think I went with some metal 2.1mm, center positive metal ones that fit my power supply, I believe.

I built one of those boards up into an enclosure and didn't really notice any impedance issues. It is very flat, EQ-wise, but even running our ol Tech21 Sansamp through it made a huge difference. I just got one of the "black sand" enclosures from Tayda for building the Parasit Multiwave Mega into. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a neat, textured flat-ish black finish.

@HamishR I agree, it takes me much longer to source stuff on the Mouser site. It's hard to know which things are the correct dimensions/values. I find myself doing much more measuring and datasheet reviewing before pulling the trigger there.

@EdJ They are fairly common potentiometers, you just have to order right-angle PCB mount ones. Tayda is a good source for that stuff. It definitely makes building these boards much easier and tidier! :)

I did a very small order on Mouser for a couple things I couldn't get at Tayda, which is usually the case when I order from them. Got the below email today and just thought they deserved some appreciation for the extra customer service.
