Basic latching relay not reliably turning off/bypassing

@fig nope I absolutely did not. I’ll try desoldering and flipping around. Thank you!

Basic latching relay not reliably turning off/bypassing

Trying to use a relay bypass for the first time in an Acrylic Overdrive (Wampler Plexi Drive) pedal I was putting together. The relay reliably turns on the effect but it has trouble turning it off/bypassing the effect. I'm trying to narrow down the issue before I just rip it out and just go with...

    pedalpcb Caesar Chorus

Looks great! This is one of my very favorite PedalPCB builds.

    Magnetron Delay (Keeley Magnetic Echo)

Another nice one! This and the reverb really do sound great together don’t they? Also I like how you are routing wires and might have to steal that. Looks very neat with the wire tucked back into the top of the enclosure and looping back.

    Gravitation Reverb (EQD Levitation)

Lots of good advice here! @MichaelW oh boy you're tempting me to add yet another pedal to my build backlog, though I already have 4 drive pedals teed up to build. Anyway, great/clean build on the reverb pedal!

    Gravitation Reverb (EQD Levitation)

@MichaelW I like them too! But sometimes wiring them is awkward. Definitely going to try bus wire and/or solid core wire for these situations. I’ve used ribbon cables from love my switches as well, which makes it super easy, but those are way too long in most cases. Is that last one a Timmy...

    Gravitation Reverb (EQD Levitation)

Good tips thanks @PedalPCB and @MichaelW! I’ll have to try on my next build with a bigger board where the breakout would align like this. @MichaelW I see why you solder the lads last, to make sure the switch isn’t at an odd angle when using the pin headers. I still find wiring up the switch a...

    Gravitation Reverb (EQD Levitation)

Hey cool you made yours! This is a great pedal and I’m still loving mine. Lots of useful sounds from subtle to wacky and ambient. And totally agree about the tone knob. Nice and tidy guts too! How did you wire from the PCB to the breakout board? I was going to use the breakout on mine but ended...

    Paragon Mini with mods

@dawson hahahaha in person the color perhaps isn't so intense of a neon fuchsia as it seems in the photo. And thanks! I copied @ckaudioeffects for the mods documentation, though I didn't bother with the "mojo" 1/2w carbon resistors.

    Paragon Mini with mods

Just finished this build this week, and absolutely love this pedal. Had never played a KoT circuit in person (I'm about 3 years down the list on Analogman's waitlist), but I understand why people love this circuit. Definitely a keeper for my board. What do you think of blue and cream knobs...

Paragon Mini: May have modded wrong cap value

@ckaudioeffects Put it together today and all worked. This thing sounds fantastic! I haven’t played any other KoT circuits so don’t have a baseline to compare in person but it does sound really warm and full. I might need to build a full size one with all the external switches…

Paragon Mini: May have modded wrong cap value

@ckaudioeffects Already made the change. Honestly it mostly just bothered me knowing it was “wrong”, you know? Might have been interesting to compare and see if I could discern a difference (maybe doubtful) but was too anal not to fix it. I haven’t finished assembling yet but I was able to...

Paragon Mini: May have modded wrong cap value

Okay so I tried testing continuity and do get continuity to ground from C4 and C17, but don't get a beep from my DMM between C16 or C3 to ground. Looks like everything is accurate and the caps are in fact in slightly different places between the channels. Probably not a huge deal with the 22n...

Paragon Mini: May have modded wrong cap value

I am putting together a Paragon Mini, and decided to try the Paragon mods documented by @ckaudioeffects in this very helpful thread. Here's the Google Drive link they included in that post, laying out the mods on the "standard" Paragon PCB. I compared the schematics and identified the relevant...

    Missing Build Docs / Schematics

@Big Monk Any chance you had a chance to map the transistor numbers between the Electrovibe and Electrovibe Mini? I am prepping for a EV Mini build in the near future and referencing your extremely helpful thread and diagrams of EV mods. I'm planning on trying to implement most of the mods that...

    The LOON, build.

Looks awesome! Great looking build. I’ve had one on my board forever and love this circuit. Super tweakable and flexible. Enjoy!

Nugget Fuzz / No Name Fuzz (Cornish NG-2)

On a roll building some pedals lately. Just put together a Nugget Fuzz (Cornish NG-2). Graphics inspired by Canadian generic grocery store brand No Name, whose labels are hilariously deadpan descriptors of the product in lowercase Helvetica in English and French. I socketed the germanium...

    Magnetron Delay and Gravitation Reverb

@MichaelW I hope you dig it! It's got a sort of layered slapback echo sort of sound, so a kind of ambient delay/reverb. The Magnetron is really cool as well. Definitely very dark-sounding delay and can get a little muddy but it's a vibe. One thing I might suggest is getting soft click...

    Magnetron Delay and Gravitation Reverb

@dawson Thanks! I can only keep it simple based on my (lack of) graphic design skills haha. Loving the easy integration between Tayda printing/drilling with the drill template linked from the pedal page. Really makes the whole process less time consuming. @PedalPCB

    Magnetron Delay and Gravitation Reverb

A couple of time-based PT2399 effects for my latest builds: Magnetic Flux Tape Delay (Magnetron / Keeley Magnetic Echo) and Blue Sky Reverb (Gravitation / EQD Levitation Reverb). Super happy with how both of these came out in terms of sound and the graphics/enclosures/knobs. Pretty smooth build...
